*Verbal warning/redirection
*Time out in the classroom
*Fill out a "Moment ot P. A. W. S." form stating the social skill broken and
what the student can do differently next time
*Time out in a buddy classroom
*Call home, either by teacher or student
*Referral to school counselor or administrator
*Parent/teacher/student conference
Rewards for good behavior
Our hope is that children will learn to be respectful and responsible based on intrinsic rewards through direct teaching of social skills. Positive reinforcement and compliments are the most common form of rewards for students at Evans. Students will earn
P. A. W. S. slips when they are seen following the expectations set for them.
