My name is Katie Poulsen and I am the new 3rd Grade teacher. I have a degree in Elementary Education K-8/Early Childhood Education from Montana State University-Bozeman. I am starting my first year of teaching after spending time home with my children. You may recognize me from volunteering at the school and through PTO activities the past three years.
My husband and I moved to Colorado Springs three years ago from Washington State and we just love it here. We have two boys, ages 10 and 5, who attend Evans Elementary. As a family we love to travel to Disneyland, hike, and ride our bikes long distances in the mountains and along the California Coast. When I am not busy with school and family, I love to scrapbook our adventures, read any great book I can get my hands on, and cook gourmet meals from my large cookbook collection.
I am so excited to be part of the Evans staff and look forward to sharing my love of learning with your children.
